Automation has landed with a bang across the recruitment landscape
Recruitment automation is fast becoming one of the hot topics for recruiters and boy is it making a splash!!
So, what is all the fuss about?
In short, automation is a game-changer! It will transform the way companies hire as it enables the creation of workflows at any point of the recruitment process. It will certainly have a major impact on the candidate experience and talent pools, it will eliminate all repetitive and high-volume tasks and re-shape how recruiters work with hiring managers
But that is not all.
There is really no limit to the number of Workflows you can automate - if you have a process or task - often, it can be automated. Reports, Analytics, Skills Based Testing and Situational Judgement Test as well as DBS and referencing checking can all be automated. Such great news for recruiters and hiring managers alike!
Here are some examples of automated workflows, to give you a taste of what is possible with an ATS.
Example 1: Keep your candidates warm and welcomed. Thank you email to all your candidates immediately after they have applied for a role with a 2nd email after 5 days, just to let them know that you have not forgot about them (you can schedule as many emails as you want).
Example 2: Keep your Hiring Managers updated and reminded, so they do not miss important deadlines. Notification email to your Hiring Manager 3 days after they have received a video recording from one your candidates. It will save recruiters lots of time chasing! Plus, you can extend to 2, 3 or even 4 reminders!
Example 3: Speed up your shortlisting process: If one of the key requirements for a marketing role is to have a CIM Diploma in Marketing, set a workflow to rank candidate as Invite to Video Screen. This could then kick-start the next workflow to send them a congratulatory email with all the details to produce and submit a video!
These are just a few examples - there are hundreds and thousands of workflows/processes you can automate. You can even build them for other stakeholders like; reminders for hiring managers when Job Offers are outstanding or reports for stakeholders so can see on a weekly or daily basis how many jobs offers you have made in the month.
By leveraging automation, recruiters will slash hiring times, reduce tedious and common tasks, improve candidate experience, and collaborate in a more effective way with internal and external stakeholders.
